Chess Camp

PCA will be hosting a Chess Camp for players of all levels of experience, ages 7 and up on June 7-10, 2010 from 9 am to 1pm. Camp activities will include group chess lessons with highly experienced and successful instructors led by Igor Zhilsin, practice games, simultaneous exhibition, and consultation games. There are so many educational benefits to playing the game of chess, such as

  • Developing problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strengthening  memory, reading, language, and mathematic skillls
  • Learning to think logically
  • Improving concentration and discipline
  • Improving test scores/ academic performance
