PCA Beta Club Members Receive National Awards

Several PCA Rhetoric School students participating in National Beta Club recently placed in the top ten in their category during the 2020 Virtual National Beta Club Convention. 

Four PCA Rhetoric School students were eligible to compete at the National Beta Convention including:

Kendall Keninitz: Jewelry
Emma Manwaring: Fiber Arts
Molly Morgan: Black & White Photography Div 2
Emma Shapard: Black & White Photography Div 1

Students receiving Beta Club National Awards are:

Emma Manwaring: 1st place in Fiber Arts
Molly Morgan: 6th place in Black & White Photography
Kendall Keninitz: 9th place in Jewelry

Molly Morgan: 6th place in B & W Photography

PCA Beta Club members originally competed and received awards during the State Beta Convention held in Nashville, TN.   Their awards at the state level provided an opportunity to compete at the national level. The National Convention, originally planned to be held in Fort Worth, TX, was cancelled due to health and safety concerns stemming from the Coronavirus pandemic. However, over 12,000 Junior Beta (grades 4-8) and Senior Beta (grades 9-12) students were able to represent their schools in the first National Beta Virtual Convention.

With more than 500,000 active members and 8,750 clubs nationally and internationally, National Beta has become the nation’s largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization. National Beta promotes the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.
