PCA 1st grade students recently visited Morning Glory Orchard, a second-generation family farm, to see a working apple orchard and learn more about apples as part of their study of Johnny Appleseed. During the visit, they discovered how an apple press works, had an opportunity to taste fresh apple... cider and honey collected from beehives in the orchard, and learned about bees and how essential they are for pollination. They also toured the orchard and saw apples in a variety of sizes and colors as well as trees that range from a few years old to trees that are over 40 years old! While in the orchard, they also got to pick an apple themselves! It was a wonderful learning experience!

PCA PARENT SPOTLIGHT- Jeremy and Erin Freitas
Erin and Jeremy have three children attending PCA.
Here's what they have to say about their PCA experience:
PCA has impacted our lives in EVERY way. We moved our entire lives to be closer to this school knowing it was the right ...direction not only for them, their educational and personal development, but also for us as a family. I know there are many families like us that have shifted their entire lives and locations knowing there is nothing quite like PCA. Watching the faith of our children grow and expand and how this school has shaped and enriched our lives is our “WHY”. We look forward to many more years at this beautiful place. Being a part of a community that reinforces our home and personal ideals has made all the difference. It’s as if most of the noise of the outside world is quieted because our children are surrounded by so many peers and families who echo the ideals valued in our home. We are PROUD to be a part of such an impactful and special community and feel blessed to have the support PCA provides. Educationally, our children have excelled beyond measure but spiritually they have really grown and in today’s world that means more to us than ever!
Here's their advice for parents who are new to PCA:
Just know that you will find your tribe. And even more important your children will too and they will thrive given time and support. For us moving across the country was a shock to our systems in every way. PCA has been our one constant and the best decision we ever made!
