Building Excellence Capital Campaign

$1 Million in 100 Days

As we move through the beginning of 2021, and look towards celebrating our 25th anniversary, we embark on one of the most exciting times in our history. The new academic and athletic facility will increase our capacity for Upper School classes. Just recently the board of trustees made the decision to complete the second floor of this building adding eight much needed classrooms for a total of sixteen classrooms and two science labs in the new building.

In addition to now completing the second floor of the new building, PCA is in the process of acquiring eighteen acres from our neighbors at Calvary Baptist Church. This additional land will, over time, allow us to build several athletic facilities including football, soccer, baseball, tennis, as well as space for restrooms, concession facility, and additional parking.

Excellence in facilities coupled with excellence in programs and an exceptional faculty all suggest a school poised for the next twenty-five years of growth and progress. Our individual and collective resolve to these opportunities requires an extraordinary response. This is why we are launching a unique program to reach out to our PCA community to raise $1 million in 100 days! A challenge to be sure but worthy of our best efforts.

Extending through May 16, 2021, we invite everyone who is committed to our future to participate in giving to this initiative of our Building Excellence capital campaign. I am thrilled to announce that as we kick off this unique campaign, we already have new commitments of over $500,000 specifically for this new initiative! Please prayerfully consider how you can help us achieve this important goal.

Warmly and with gratitude,

William R. Mott, Ph.D.
Head of School

Putting Our Faith into Action

Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Philippians 4:8

Providence Christian Academy has been abundantly blessed with numerous accomplishments that we can point to with great pride. One of the areas where we have experienced the blessing of God’s provision is through generous gifts from our supporters.  These gifts have allowed us to continuously enhance our facilities. In 2014, PCA made a significant addition to the campus adding more than 40,000 square feet.

As we move through the 2020-21 academic year, we are once again blessed to be experiencing significant growth. Over the past few years, enrollment has grown by more than 40% and we have added more than 250 new students to our school. Few schools across the country have grown at this rate. God is indeed abundantly blessing our school!

Our vision for the future is based on our mission and our desire for excellence. Our passion and commitment is to be the very best independent, Christian school we can possibly be. We are preparing our students to be leaders for the future and we must develop them in a way that speaks to excellence in every facet of PCA. This, of course, includes our facilities and the need for expansion is critical.

Our growth has outpaced our facilities and we are once again struggling to keep up with the demand for the unique Christian educational experience we provide. A master site planning committee has determined that our most immediate need is for additional Upper School classroom space and a new, larger gymnasium to be utilized for high school sports, physical education, and other needs.

Construction is underway for a new Upper School building that will add classrooms, two science labs, office space, and meeting space. The building will also include a gymnasium with a seating capacity for 1,200 visitors, a weight room, athletic locker rooms, and much needed storage. In addition, we will add extensively to our parking capacity, relocate the Lower School playground, and widen the two entrances we have off of DeJarnette Lane.

While much of the funding for this new project has been committed, we still must raise additional resources to fund this project. The BUILDING EXCELLENCE campaign is our path to finish strong.

Our hope is that you will prayerfully consider how you can help PCA reach the goal of adding these much-needed facilities to our campus. Your generosity will have a significant impact on our ability to provide an amazing educational experience for our students.

Our mission is to teach students to seek God’s truth and to equip them with the tools for lifetime of learning. As we seek to achieve this, we know the stakes are high and we are confident that those who love this school and want us to thrive will come forward with the resources to ensure that we are living out this mission. Thank you for your generosity!

With deepest gratitude,

Julie Knox, Chair of the Board of Trustees
William R. Mott, Ph.D., Head of School
Elizabeth & Brad Allen, Honorary Campaign Co-Chairs
