Putting Our Faith into Action

Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Philippians 4:8

Providence Christian Academy has been abundantly blessed with numerous accomplishments that we can point to with great pride. One of the areas where we have experienced the blessing of God’s provision is through generous gifts from our supporters.  These gifts have allowed us to continuously enhance our facilities.

As we move through the 2022-23 academic year, we are once again blessed to be experiencing significant growth. Over the past few years, enrollment has grown by more than 40% and we have added more than 250 new students to our school. Few schools across the country have grown at this rate. God is indeed abundantly blessing PCA!

Our vision for the future is based on our mission and our desire for excellence. Our passion and commitment is to be the very best independent, Christian school we can possibly be. We are preparing our students to be leaders for the future and we must develop them in a way that speaks to excellence in every facet of PCA. This, of course, includes our facilities and the need for expansion has been critical.

With our growth, we recognized the need for additional facilities in order to keep up with the demand for the unique Christian educational experience we provide. In 2017, a master site planning committee was formed and it was determined that our most immediate need was for additional Rhetoric School classroom space and a new, larger gymnasium to be utilized for high school sports, physical education, and other needs. The Building Excellence capital campaign was launched in 2018 and construction began in 2019.

In July 2021, we were delighted to celebrate the opening of our newest building, The Allen Family Academic and Athletic Center. The Allen Center houses 9th-12th grade Rhetoric School classes and includes 16 classrooms, 2 science labs, a Student Union, a new 1,200 seat gymnasium, locker rooms, a weight room, office spaces, meeting spaces, and much needed storage. In addition, as part of this building project, we have added extensively to our parking capacity, relocated the Lower School playground, and widened the two entrances we have off of DeJarnette Lane.

Excellence in facilities coupled with excellence in programs and an exceptional faculty all suggest a school poised for the next twenty-five years of growth and progress. We are grateful for the many ways God is abundantly blessing our school!

While much of the funding for this new project has been committed, we still must raise additional resources to fund this project. The Building Excellence campaign is our path to finish strong.

Our hope is that you will prayerfully consider how you can help PCA reach the goal of continuing to fund these much-needed facilities. Your generosity will have a significant impact on our ability to provide an amazing educational experience for our students.

The mission of Providence Christian Academy is to teach students to seek God’s truth and to equip them with the tools for lifetime of learning. As we seek to achieve this, we know the stakes are high and we are confident that those who love this school and want us to thrive will come forward with the resources to ensure that we are living out this mission. Thank you for your generosity!

With deepest gratitude,

Ben Bobo, Chair of the Board of Trustees
Andy Sheets, Ed.D., Head of School
Elizabeth & Brad Allen, Honorary Campaign Co-Chairs
