School of Rhetoric

Welcome to the PCA School of Rhetoric! The School of Rhetoric at Providence Christian Academy is comprised of grades 9-12. We utilize the Classical Model, consistent with the Grammar School (grades PreK-5) and Logic School (grades 6-8) to accomplish our mission and produce graduates that are ready for success at the collegiate level, but more importantly, devoted followers of Jesus Christ, ready to transform their spheres of influence for the sake of the Gospel.

In addition to a full complement of college preparatory academics that includes advanced courses in all disciplines, PCA provides opportunities in the Fine and Performing Arts and extra-curricular activities including TSSAA sanctioned athletics, clubs and organizations, student council, National Honor Society, a fully functioning, student-led house system, and more. Our students not only learn how to speak and write with eloquence and persuasion, they also learn how to collaborate, debate thoughts and ideas, critically analyze textual information, explore through guided inquiry, and lead others with humility and integrity. The investment in relationships is key to our success and one of the most distinctive elements of our academy.

The School of Rhetoric teachers all serve as advisors in addition to their faculty responsibilities. The mission-based advisory program, organized by grade-level and gender, allows our faculty to develop an individual relationship with each student and help guide each one in his or her personal, social, and spiritual development. The fruit of a program like this is hard to even quantify – every student has a place to know others and to be known. Something special is happening here in our midst and I invite you to explore the possibilities for you to partner with us in the education of your child. May God receive the glory for all that is being accomplished by Him through us!

In Him,

Kevin Carter
